University of Vermont, College of Agriculture and Life
Sciences: Burlington, Vermont. Our curricula and areas of research span from
the basic life sciences, to agriculture and food systems; to nutrition and health; to community development and

interested in pre-professional programs such as pre vet and premed, we have something for you.
Virginia;
Virginia Polytechnics Institute and State University, The College of Agriculture and Life
Sciences: Blacksburg, Virginia. Today's College is adapting to society's
expectations and needs by focusing its resources and efforts on improving human health and nutrition, sustaining
agriculture and the environment, reducing the reliance on fossil fuels, and developing cures for devastating and
debilitating diseases.
Washington;
Washington State University, College of Agriculture, Human, and Natural Resource
Sciences: Pullman, Washington. Our mission is to provide global leadership in
discovering, accessing, and disseminating knowledge that contributes to a safe, abundant food and fiber supply;
promotes the well-being of individuals, families, and communities; enhances sustainability of agricultural and
economic systems; and promotes stewardship of natural resources and ecological systems. In all dimensions of our
mission, we strive to live up to the “World Class.
West Virginia;
West Virginia University, Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources and
Design: Morgantown, West Virginia. Today, students gain practical knowledge
and skills outside the classroom using 3,425 acres of farmland and 8,134 acres of forest for teaching and
research. The Greenhouse, Dairy, Natural Resources Analysis Center, and Rumen Fermentation Laboratory provide
additional opportunities for learning and study, and provide valuable community service.
Wisconsin;
University of Wisconsin, College of Agricultural & Life
Sciences: Madison, Wisconsin. Our work across these missions is organized into
four neighborhoods: agriculture, social sciences, life sciences and natural resources. We carry out these
missions on a global scale through our international development programs.
Our students choose from 24 majors in biological sciences, agriculture, food and nutrition, environment and
national resources, and social sciences.
University of Wisconsin, College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental
Sciences: River Falls, Wisconsin. The on-going challenges and
opportunities related to food, soil and crop sciences, production agriculture, agricultural education,
geo-sciences, natural resources and environmental sciences on regional, national and global scales create a
broad range of exciting career opportunities. Additional special areas of emphasis include dairy science, horse
science, meat animal science, agricultural business, horticulture, crop and soil science, agricultural
engineering technology, environmental sciences, land use planning, conservation and geology.
University of Wisconsin, School of Agriculture: Platteville,
Wisconsin. Students are challenged with problem solving situations and real life case studies. Learning
opportunities provide for application of classroom theories in practical situations. With 17 exceptionally
active clubs and organizations - plus 8 nationally competing, quality judging teams in which to participate, you
can develop sought-after communication and leadership skills. On-campus science laboratories, new greenhouse, a
430 acre university farm, and a strong internship program provide for hands-on learning.
Wyoming;
University of Wyoming, College of Agriculture and Natural
Resources: Laramie, Wyoming. College of Agriculture graduates are
employed in many fields such as natural resource management, nutrition and dietetics, rangeland ecology, animal
sciences, and the newest agricultural arena, biotechnology. Today, faculty and staff in the college
continue to train students in a wide range of disciplines including natural resource management, animal and
plant sciences, human nutrition, rangeland ecology, micro and molecular biology, and veterinary medicine. In
addition the college also offers a full range of outreach programs through the Cooperative Extension
Service.
